St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford went down with a knee injury toward the end of the game against the Carolina Panthers. His knee is swollen and will have an MRI tomorrow and the team is preparing for the worst.
Bradford went down after scrambling to the sideline on a second down play. There was less than 6 minutes left in the game and Bradford went down on the sideline and landed funny on the knee.
The team already conducted x-rays and didn’t find any damage there, but the MRI will likely tell the story on this one. If Bradford were to miss any time, the Rams would turn to Kellen Clemens to be their starting quarterback.
“I’m not going to deal with hypotheticals right now until I find out what really is going on with him,” Fisher said. “It makes no sense to rush to a conclusion until we know. We’ll get a medical and then we’ll go from there. He was in significant pain on the sideline.”
Bradford was on crutches after the game with a big brace on his knee. We will keep an eye on his status throughout the week.
