St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford went down in the 4th quarter of the game against the Carolina Panthers. He was scrambling for yards and went out of bounds and went down a little funny. He hurt his knee on the play and was carted off of the field. He got some x-rays after the game and then got an MRI which showed that he has a torn ACL in his left knee. He is going to be out for the year.
That is a big time hit for the Rams offense. Bradford was starting to play well for the Rams and now he has suffered this setback. With Bradford out of the lineup, the Rams will have to find someone else that can play quarterback for the team. They have Kellen Clemens listed as the backup on the depth chart and there is no other quarterback on the roster.
The Rams will have to look to free agency to get some help at the position. Matt Flynn was just signed by the Bills, so they will have to look in another direction. Possibly Vince Young or Tim Tebow? Maybe?
