Chicago Bears LB Lance Briggs will be out 4-6 weeks with a shoulder injury. Briggs was injured in the 3rd quarter of the game against the Washington Redskins while he was trying to disengage from a block.
With Briggs out of the game, the Bears defense was tore up by Robert Griffin III and the Washington Redskins offense. With Briggs out of the game, the Redskins went wild. The Redskins ran 27 plays, gained 234 yards and scored touchdowns on 3 of 4 drives.
Briggs is the leader of that Bears defense and they are going to struggle without him on the field. The Redskins made them look terrible without him on the field. The Bears do get a little bit of a break with the BYE week coming up, but then they will have to face off against the Green Bay Packers in the following week. They better be prepared for Aaron Rodgers and that offense to take advantage of Briggs being out of the game.
