The Detroit Lions are without WR Calvin Johnson in practice today (Tim Twentyman). He practiced all of last week, but is missing from the workouts today. He is likely just giving his knee a rest after playing in 71 snaps last week against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Johnson was up to his normal antics on Sunday against the Bengals. He caught 9 passes for 155 yards and a couple of touchdowns in the game, but the Lions lost to the Bengals at home.

Calvin’s practice reports don’t usually determine if he will be available for the game. He is likely just getting some time to rest his knee and will be back on the field tomorrow for some limited action. Then he will be out on the field Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys to do his normal thing.

It will be a big NFC showdown between the Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. A.J. Green and Calvin Johnson put on a good show last week, it should be another fun matchup with Dez Bryant and Calvin this weekend.
