Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning has an ankle injury from the Indianapolis Colts game and he did not participate in practice today (Jeff Legwold). He was on the field, but did not throw. Some believe that he is resting his arm also. There were several other veteran players that took a rest today too, so it likely is just a day off for the veteran and he will likely be back on the field tomorrow to prepare for the Washington Redskins.

There was noticeably something wrong with Peyton Manning’s deep passes at Indy after he was hit by Robert Mathis though (Mike Klis). It will be something that other teams will be watching.

I don’t expect anything big to come out of this. Sometimes the vets need some rest. If his ankle is busted a little though, it will have an effect on his throwing. The Broncos have a BYE after the Redskins game and he will get an opportunity to rest after the game for an extra week. It likely will be coming in at the perfect time for the team.

I am sure we will have a lot of eyes looking at his passes in practice this week.
