Minnesota Vikings QB Josh Freeman will not dress for the game Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. He got his chance to start and will not be able to play in the following game after he has suffered symptoms of a concussion. Former starter Christian Ponder will be under center handing the ball off to Adrian Peterson. At least Minnesota and fantasy football fans will be hoping that Ponder will take the ball from center and turn right around to give the ball to Peterson.
There still is no word on if Freeman will return as the starter after the concussion symptoms subside. Freeman played awful in his start on Monday night. His mechanics were a mess and he was unable to get the ball out to his receivers. He was all over the place. Because of the concussion and because of his inaccuracy, the Vikings may have to rely on Christian Ponder a little longer than they really would like to. But we saw what forcing Freeman into the lineup did.
