Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Williams has told the Tampa Tribune he has a torn hamstring. He first hurt the hamstring on September 29 against the Arizona Cardinals. He has played in the 2 games since the first time he hurt the injury, but the injury could have gotten worse, because having a torn hamstring sounds like you would be sidelined for a little bit of time. With the Buccaneers sitting at 0-7, what is the motivation to get Williams back on the field?
I am sure that he wants to get on the field, but if the hamstring is that busted up, it would be better for him to sit on the sideline and rest up. Once everything is healed, then he can come back onto the field for the team.
The Bucs likely are looking toward the 2014 draft at this time anyway. They are one of the teams that are in good position to get the first selection in the draft. Williams might have to sit on the sideline for a bit. It seems that he has been fighting through the injury and still getting out on the field.
