Denver Broncos CB Champ Bailey hurt his foot again last weekend against the Indianapolis Colt and will be sitting out this weekend against the Washington Redksins. The Broncos have a BYE following the game and Bailey will be able to get a couple of weeks where he doesn’t have to do too much with the foot.

The following week, the Broncos have a division matchup against the San Diego Chargers and Bailey plans to make his return against Philip Rivers and company. Bailey has only been able to participate in a couple of games this season because of the foot injury, so his return against the Chargers still may not happen. It has been a long recovery process for him to get back on the field.

He wants to make sure that he is ready to get on the field and that his foot is 100% ready to go. The San Diego Chargers have shown a potent offense this season. With Bailey on the sideline, the Broncos will rely on Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Chris Harris and Tony Carter to handle the duties in the secondary.
