Buffalo Bills QB Thad Lewis returned to practice today after sitting out for the first part of the week with some bruised ribs. Lewis isn’t throwing the football around though. He is present and suited up, but is just going through the motions. It sounds like he is going through some mental reps today in practice.

The Bills would love to have their quarterback on the field this weekend to face off against the undefeated Chiefs, but head coach Doug Marrone says that it could be anyone starting this weekend for the Bills. Thad Lewis could be the guy. Jeff Tuel could be the guy. Even Matt Flynn could be the starter. Tuel and Flynn have been taking the first team snaps for the team this week and are preparing to be the starter, but if Lewis is ready to go, he would give the team the best shot at winning this game.

Lewis still has a couple of days to rest his ribs and he can get some throwing in later today and tomorrow. Marrone said he would make the decision on Lewis today. Let’s see what this practice tells him.
