The New Orleans Saints and the Atlanta Falcons are meeting up in Atlanta. Before the season, this would have been considered one of the better matchups of the year, but the fall of the Falcons has diminished the hype around the game. Still, the division rivals are not too fond of each other and the Falcons would love nothing more than to upset the Saints. They have the home field advantage in the game and will be looking to pull off the upset.

Saints Player to Watch: Drew Brees

Drew Brees has been on a tear this season. He has thrown for a touchdown in 14 straight games and has 38 touchdowns total this year. It is good to have Sean Payton back calling the shots. Brees just keeps doing what he normally does and throws the ball out for touchdowns to his receivers.

Falcons Player to Watch: Harry Douglas

With all the injuries to the Atlanta Falcons wide receivers, Harry Douglas has been able to step in and produce for the Falcons. He had 6 receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown last week and is getting a lot of balls thrown in his direction. Look for him to get into the action again on Thursday.

Thursday Night games tend to get a little sloppier than normal and more surprises tend to happen during those games, but I can’t see the Falcons pulling off the stunner in this game. The Saints are battling for the division lead and are also hoping to get a BYE in the first round of the playoffs. Saints win this game.
