The San Francisco 49ers look poised for another deep playoff run, but a spot in the playoffs isn’t exactly a guarantee due to the play of the division rival Arizona Cardinals. Tomorrow evening, the 49ers will defend their home turf against the St. Louis Rams, and it would be an utter shock for the 49ers to drop this one. Still, the Rams have shown this season that they are capable of playing solid football, even with Kellen Clemens at the helm. But for the 49ers, this game is nothing compared to the tests ahead, including a date with the Seattle Seahawks next week. Below are the injury reports for both teams.
San Francisco 49ers
Questionable
G Mike Iupati (knee)
WR Quinton Patton (foot)- He will most likely miss tomorrow’s game and make his return next week against the Seahawks.
TE Garrett Celek (hamstring)
OLB Ahmad Brooks (stinger)
OLB Aldon Smith (shoulder)
CB Tarell Brown (ribs) – UPDATE: Brown has been ruled “out” for tomorrow’s game against the Rams, and this comes as no surprise. The injury he suffered against the New Orleans Saints was a severe one, and he suffered “internal injuries” (Brown stated this) and had difficulty breathing when he first sustained the injury.
DT Ray McDonald (ankle)
Probable
ILB Navorro Bowman (knee)
LB Dan Skuta (foot)
DT Justin Smith (shoulder)
WR Mario Manningham (knee)
RB Frank Gore (ankle)- Gore suffered a very minor ankle injury on Monday night but is a full-go this week after practicing everyday.
St. Louis Rams
Questionable
G Harvey Dahl (knee)
S T.J. McDonald (shin)
CB Brandon McGee (foot)
Probable
RB Zac Stacy (concussion)- The Rams star running back is all systems go this week, and the upset rides on his ability to effectively run the ball against an elite 49ers defense. Stacy returned to practice on Thursday and has been medically cleared from his concussion. In fact, he even practiced fully yesterday.
CB Trumaine Johnson (concussion)
DE Eugene Sims (foot)
G Chris Williams (concussion)
LB Will Witherspoon (not injury related)
