Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles is one of the best backs in the league. He has proved it time and time again and with head coach Andy Reid running the show, Charles has gotten the ball even more.

Charles has always run for a good average on all his carries. His burst through the hole and ability to make people miss in the open field is one of the scariest things for defenses to watch.

Jamaal Charles just recently broke a record that was held by Cleveland Browns great Jim Brown. Charles now holds the record for most rushing yards in his 1st 1000 carries, with 5,523 rushing yards.

That is incredible! On his first 1000 carries in the league, he has average over 5.5 yards per carry. Just hand him the rock all day long and watch what he does with it.

Charles is something special and the Chiefs have been riding him all season. It looks like Alex Smith and the offense are starting to get in a little groove though. It definitely would give the Chiefs some hope in the playoffs if the rest of the guys on offense can step up and make plays.
