How bad is the AFC?! The league has 4 games remaining and not one team has been eliminated from the playoffs yet. There still is hope for the Houston Texans! Not really, but mathematically they are still alive. It still is ridiculous to think that a team that has lost it’s last 10 games still has life for the playoffs.
In the NFC, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Atlanta Falcons and Washington Redskins are already thinking about the draft (The Texans are already thinking about the draft too).
The race for the 6th wild card spot in the AFC is still up for grabs and a team with a losing record could end up taking a hold of that. A team that goes 7-9 could be in the playoffs. The reigning Super Bowl Champions currently hold the 6th spot in the playoffs in the AFC with a 6-6 record, but there are a ton of teams that are gunning for that spot and it will likely come down to some silly tie breaker in order to determine which team makes it in.
