Detroit Lions star running back Reggie Bush was ruled inactive last week against the Philadelphia Eagles after aggravating a calf injury in pre-game warm-ups, but he’s fully expected to play tonight against the Baltimore Ravens. It’s a crucial game for both sides, and the Lions need to get a win tonight in order to help keep the pace in the competitive NFC North. Their playoff hopes rest on each game, especially after the Green Bay Packers were able to complete an electrifying comeback over the Dallas Cowboys.
Bush is central to what the Lions do on offense, and he and Joique Bell create arguably the best running back tandem in the NFL. Both are excellent pass-catchers out of the backfield, and both work off of eachother by performing well on the ground with different rushing styles. Having Bush healthy today is of absolute importance, and the Lions know it.
He seems to be at somewhere near 100%, because he was able to practice on Friday and Saturday and nobody expects him to miss today’s game. Plus, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported earlier today on SportsCenter that Reggie Bush is not expected to have his snaps limited today, which is excellent news for Lions fans and fantasy owners looking for victories in their respective games. If you were patient and decided to stick with Bush as a starter this week, then you should be rewarded by the elusive RB.
