The Baltimore Ravens are mulling over the possibility of cutting ties with Terrelle Suggs this offseason. He is going to cost a lot against the salary cap and his production dropped off toward the end of the year. He only had one sack in the final 8 games of the year. He did finish the season with 10 sacks though.
With Suggs due to cost $12.4 million against the cap, the team will likely look to restructure his deal. If he is unable to get that done, then they may cut ties with the veteran. Suggs will get interest from a bunch of teams if he is cut loose. He doesn’t have many seasons left in that body, but he still can produce off of the edge getting after the quarterback.
Losing Suggs would be tough for the Ravens defense. Suggs is the leader on the defense and in the locker room. They will find a way to reload the roster though.
The Ravens have had to make these tough roster decisions in the past. They let long time safety Ed Reed walk last offseason in free agency and also traded Anquan Boldin to the 49ers. They are no strangers to letting big names go and restocking the roster. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see them let Suggs go.
Just wondering where he could end up.
