Florida State WR Kelvin Benjamin will enter the 2014 NFL Draft and will be one of the top wide receivers available. Benjamin is a physical presence on the field, standing at 6-foot-5, 234 pounds. He has drawn some comparisons with Chicago Bears standout wide receiver Alshon Jeffery.
Benjamin has been Jameis Winston’s top target in 2013, catching 54 balls for 1,011 yards and 15 touchdowns. He will win off of the line with his physical nature. He is a receiver in a tight end’s body, but with better speed. Teams will be drooling over the potential of Benjamin.
He will be a physical presence in the running game also and he will win the jump ball every time. Someone just needs to get the ball near him and he will jump up and bring it down.
On the flip side, Benjamin had to repeat 2 years in grade school. He had to repeat the 3rd and the 7th grade and didn’t start college till he was 20. His effort on the field is a question mark. His speed in the 40 will be questioned during the combine also.
HE has big time potential still. Another year in college would have helped his draft stock.
