The San Francisco 49ers are traveling out to North Carolina to face Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers. The two teams met earlier in the season and the game was a battle. The Panthers walked away with a 10-9 victory in a defensive battle. The defenses dominated the game.

The 49ers will have Michael Crabtree in this game and he might be the playmaker that they need in order to beat the Panthers this time around. Colin Kaepernick will have to bring out that playoff magic and move that football down the field.

Steve Smith will be back on the field for the Carolina Panthers and will be a huge asset for the team. He needs to be healthy and needs to contribute. Cam Newton will be in the spotlight and will have to step up on the big stage.

The 49ers are hungry and looking to get back to the big dance. They would love to face their rivals, the Seattle Seahawks. The media would love to watch that matchup as well. Again, the game will likely be a defensive battle and will come down to which team makes the big play on offense. I think the 49ers will make those plays.
