Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson is considering having groin surgery this offseason, per USA Today. He will be seeing a specialist next week to get their opinion and it is possible that Peterson will have surgery. He missed a pair of games at the end of the year because of the groin injury. If he were to go under the knife, he would be questionable to be ready for the start of training camp.
We all know the type of athlete that Adrian Peterson is and what kind of recovery he is able to do. There is no doubt that he will come back strong.
The Minnesota Vikings are undergoing a few big changes. They will have a new coaching staff and will likely have a new quarterback under center. Norv Turner will be installing a new offensive game plan and there will be a lot of work for Peterson to do during training camp.
He is the best running back in the game though. Just get him the ball and let him pick up big chunks of yards. Seems like a simple game plan.
