New York Jets CB Antonio Cromartie will not need hip surgery this offseason. Cromartie’s hip troubled him during the year, but it seems that he won’t need surgery for the hip. He says that he feels close to 100 percent. He is still going through some rehab and thinks that he will be ready in a month (Pro Football Talk).

At least that solves the mystery about his injury. Now we will have to see what his status on the roster is for the 2014 season. Cromartie is owed a lot of money in the coming season and his production has not warranted that high dollar amount. He is a candidate to be released in the offseason.

Cromartie has said that he would like to remain with the New York Jets and that he expects to be a cap casualty. He wants to finish out his career with New York. When Cromartie is healthy and playing at a high level, he is one of the best in the league. The Jets will likely try to bring him back at a cheaper deal.

Will Cromartie be back in the Jets uniform next season?
