Miami Dolphins OT Jonathan Martin did not want to cooperate with the NFL Players Union in their investigation in the Miami Dolphins and their organization. The NFLPA is getting close to wrapping up their investigation into the Richie Incognito-Jonathan Martin situation that dominated the headlines in sports during the 2013 season, but it will be completed without cooperation from Martin.
“We were able to talk to every player involved and were privy to the information about the administration in Miami,” NFLPA executive director DeMaurice Smith told USA TODAY Sports on Thursday.
“We weren’t able to talk to Jonathan Martin, which was unfortunate. But we’re going to conduct our workplace evaluation and our report is concluding.”
The NFL hired an attorney to conduct an independent investigation and they were able to work with Martin. Martin just didn’t want to work with the NFLPA. Why wouldn’t Martin want to deal with the players association? What was the reasoning behind that? Does he not trust his own player’s union? How good is an investigation, without getting the accounts from the person that was involved?
