Buffalo DE/LB Khalil Mack is going to be a top 10 player in the NFL Draft, but “some” people see him as the number 1 overall pick, per CBS Sports‘ Rob Rang. The Houston Texans are in huge need of a quarterback on their roster and the top defensive player on the board should be South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney. Who are these “some” that believe that Mack should be the top selection?
It would be a shock for the Texans to select Khalil Mack with the first pick in the draft. It would be as shocking as selecting Mario Williams over Reggie Bush. That was the Texans that did that though. They do have a tendency to surprise.
If the Texans are able to land a quarterback before the NFL Draft, then there might be a possibility to take Mack with the top selection. It still would be shocking to see Mack taken over Clowney though.
Should Mack be considered for the top selection in the draft? Should he even be considered to be taken higher than Jadeveon Clowney?
