Brandon Weeden wants out of Cleveland (NFL.com). Who wants into Cleveland these days? He might get his wish if he worked in the front office of the team.
With all the moves in the front office recently, who knows what the guys running the team want out of the quarterback position. Weeden was taken in the first round of the draft, but has not lived up to the expectations that he had coming into the league.
Who knows what kind of player Weeden could have developed into with a solid foundation, but all the change around him cannot be good. Weeden now will have his 3rd head coach, offensive coordinator and general manager in the last 3 seasons. Seems like a messy situation there already. How is the guy supposed to have any stability in what he is doing?
The team could possibly release him off of the roster or dangle him out on a trade. I am not sure how much the Browns would be able to get in return for a trade, but with so many teams hungry for quarterback help, they may be able to get something in their pocket for him. The Browns are going to select another quarterback in this draft and Weeden will be pushed deep onto the bench if he stays in town.
