The Washington Redskins are not looking to trade Kirk Cousins this offseason, at least that is what they are saying. There demand in return seems to high and there are plenty of quarterbacks that are available in the draft right now.

The Redskins will have to keep Cousins on the roster to back up Robert Griffin III. He is a solid backup, but he won’t see the field unless RGIII gets hurt.

Cousins would like to get a chance to start, but he won’t be getting that opportunity with the Redskins any time soon. Jay Gruden seems that he is committed to RGIII as the starter. Cousins
still has a couple of years on his rookie contract and the team can hang onto him for a little bit of time. They may just look to hold onto him until next offseason to find another team that is in need of a quarterback or some team will get them the offer they are looking for this offseason.
