Santonio Holmes is expected to be dropped off of the New York Jets roster soon (Pro Football Talk). He has not been very productive for the Jets since his arrival to New York and the team will be looking for more productivity at the wide receiver position in the offseason.

Holmes is due a lot of money from the Jets. He is owed $8.25 million in 2014 if he were to be on the roster. There is no way his production is worth that type of money.

There will be a lot of wide receivers available for teams through free agency and through the draft. The Jets will be on the hunt to add some receivers to get Geno Smith (or whoever is playing quarterback) some help on offense.

Holmes might not get much interest from other teams around the league, but Pro Football Talk mentioned a couple of candidates that might fit. The Arizona Cardinals might look to get him a shot with Bruce Arians calling the plays on offense. Arians and Holmes worked well with eachother in their time with Pittsburgh. He also could go back to Pittsburgh to play for the Steelers. They will be looking for a receiver to add onto the roster as well.
