Colin Kaepernick is going to make bank. He is going to get paid a big money deal from the San Francisco 49ers or any other team that gives him the shot at the end of his rookie deal. Kaepernick wouldn’t mind playing out his rookie deal and risking himself in order to get top dollar in free agency. He believes he is one of the top quarterbacks in the league and will be looking to get paid like it.

Expect the bidding to be around $20 million annually for his services when the war begins. The salary cap is rising and the quarterback position is desperately needed around the league. Kaepernick has shown that he is one of the best at the position and can lead a team into the playoffs and into the Super Bowl. He has shown that he can lead a strong offense and he fits that new wave of quarterback that is entering the league. He has the ability to escape the pocket and make accurate throws on the run. He has a rifle for an arm and can beat defenses in many different ways.

Kapernick will get his money. The 49ers reached out to him already looking to make a long-term offer and have shown their interest in keeping the young star on the team for years to come. They were hoping to get him at a discoutned $18M per season, but they better be prepped to up the offer on that. They better come with a higher bid, because he will be looking to get paid top dollar. If the 49ers are not the team to make the offer, than someone else will.
