The New York Jets want to build up their offensive line this offseason. They plan on getting in play for Kansas City Chiefs OG Jon Asamoah, per New York Daily News.
The negotiating window for teams and free agents open up today and the team could get in contact with Asamoah and his agents on a possible deal. The Jets are in desperate need of a ton of skill positions on the offensive side of the football. They also could use some help up from for Geno Smith and the running game.
Asamoah would be a good addition to that front line. He would be able to help with the run blocking for the team. Asamoah is 26 years old and would be a young option for the team. He started nine games for the Chiefs last season before he had a shoulder injury.
The Jets are going to be involved in free agency and will be looking for a lot of upgrades around the skill positions on offense. They will be looking at the wide receivers and we will see who they contact during this negotiating window.
