Donte Whitner will become a free agent on Tuesday and it appears that he will be headed to the Cleveland Browns when free agency opens up, per Dustin Fox.
Whitner is known as one of the biggest hitters in the game and it seems that he will be bringing that game over to Cleveland and their new defense. Who knows where the Browns are with the possibility of adding Jairus Byrd onto the roster, but the addition of Whitner on the defense will give them a strong safety that will strike fear in opposing wide receivers. He is not afraid to get dirty and make a big hit. He will bring in a few penalties for his hits and a few fines, but he will also make some plays for the team on defense.
Free agency period will start on Tuesday and that is when we will receive the details of a rumored deal. Imagine having Whitner and Jairus in the secondary in Cleveland. That is something to look forward to at the start of the year.
