Chicago Bears QB Josh McCown becomes a free agent on Tuesday and he has gotten some interest from some teams around the league. McCown played well last season in Mark Trestman’s offense. McCown had to take a few starts when Jay Cutler went down with an injury and McCown had done so well that there was a little bit of a controversy on if the team should let Cutler back in as the starter.

McCown wants to be a starter in 2014. He wants that opportunity and he will be looking to jump onto a roster that will give him that chance.

McCown went onto Mike & Mike and shared that some teams have shown interest:

"“We’ve talked to four teams,” McCown said. “There have been good discussions and we’ll take those as they come and evaluate those situations.”"

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been one team that has expressed some interest in him. He could be a starter for them or at least give a little push to Mike Glennon for the starting job.

The New York Jets are Michael Vick, Matt Schaub?” href=”https://nflspinzone.com/2014/02/23/ny-jets-rumors-josh-mccown-likely-michael-vick-matt-schaub/”>another team that could have expressed interest. They make a lot of sense as well.

McCown has said that his “heart is in Chicago” though. Will he want to stick around and hold the clipboard for Cutler or will he get his shot to start on another roster?
