Matt Schaub is still on the Houston Texans roster, but there are a number of rumors that are floating around about potential suitors for the veteran quarterback. One team that could be “seriously” willing to pick him up is the Cleveland Browns, per Cleveland.com. The Browns have been looking for an answer at the quarterback position for some time and they could be looking at the veteran to turn things around for the franchise. He could hold down the position for a number of years and could be the quarterback that they are looking for.
If the Browns were to pick up Schaub off of the waiver wire, they could use their first round draft selection on another area of need. The quarterbacks in the draft seem to be sliding more and more down the charts.
Schaub could be a nice solution for the team. He is a solid veteran and could feed the rock to Josh Gordon all game long. Gordon was able to put up monster stats with a bunch of scrubs throwing him the ball, what can he do with a former Pro Bowler tossing the rock around the yard?
Still need the first domino to fall. Still need the Texans to release him off of the roster.
