Carolina Panthers free agent wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr is visiting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today, per Jonathan Jones. The Panthers have no receivers on their roster and they are playing games with Steve Smith and now they are letting Ted Ginn test the waters.
Ginn Jr is looking to join up with Lovie Smith and the Buccaneers offense. The Buccaneers just added Josh McCown to their offense and he will compete for the starting job with Mike Glennon. They have a couple of quarterbacks that can win the starting job, but the team is looking to add more weapons for those qaurterbacks.
The Buccaneers already have Vincent Jackson at one spot at wide receiver and also have Mike Williams at the other receiver spot. Ginn would be the underneath receiver that could play in the spot and could also help the team in special teams. Ginn played well with Cam Newton and the Panthers last season and he is looking to cash in this season. The Buccaneers could be a nice destination for him. The Panthers should consider bringing him back though.
