Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay is facing four felony possession charges after he was arrested after he failed to signal at a traffic stop and police found several Schedule IV prescription drug bottles in his car, according to the press release.
“During the course of the investigation, Irsay subsequently failed several roadside field sobriety tests,” the police said in a statement.
“We are gathering information at this time regarding last night’s incident involving Jim Irsay,” the team said in a statement. “The team will issue additional statements when the facts are sorted and we are aware of the next steps to this process. Many fans have reached out to express their concern and we appreciate their support.”
Irsay will face disciplinary actions from the league. Irsay has had some issues with this in the past according to the Indianapolis Star and the team officials have urged him to go back to rehab.
The Colts are still gathering information on the incident and will likely make a statement after all the information is collected.
