Mario Manningham made an amazing catch in the Super Bowl and had a nice couple of seasons with the New York Giants and used that year to springboard himself to a contract with the San Francisco 49ers. Manningham never really was able to get on track with the 49ers after injuries set him backward. Now he is looking to get back on track with the team he started his career off with. He has signed a 1-year contract to rejoin the New York Giants, per Pro Football Talk.
Manningham was able to play in 18 games for the 49ers in the last couple of seasons and only finished his time with the 49ers with a total of 534 receiving yards and 1 touchdown. He did much better with the Giants during his tenure and he will be hoping to make some plays for Eli Manning in the Giants offense. The Giants lost Hakeem Nicks to the Indianapolis Colts in free agency and will need some receivers to step up and make some plays for the team. Super Mario will be one of the players that will be competing for playing time on offense.
