Teddy Bridgewater didn’t have the best Pro Day and may be slipping down some draft boards, but the Houston Texans still need a quarterback on their roster. They still have Matt Schaub hanging around on the roster and they don’t have anyone to take hold of the position from him at this point. There is no veteran signed on the roster for insurance and the team needs to find a new quarterback of the offense.
The team could use their first overall draft pick to select their quarterback and Teddy Bridgewater still is an option for them. The team met with Bridgewater today to see if he is a good fit for them at the top of the draft, per Brian T. Smith.
Bridgewater is one of the best talent’s in the draft and is supposed to be the most pro ready quarterback entering the draft. His poor Pro Day will definitely catch some scouts eyes and will force them to look at the tape one more time. The Texans may want to bring in Bridgewater to lead the franchise or they may want to find someone else to run the squad for the next decade.
