The Cleveland Browns might not be heading over to Texas A&M’s Pro Day to check out Johnny Manziel, but it doesn’t mean that they are not interested. They will be holding private workouts with Johnny Manziel and the rest of the top quarterbacks in the draft. They will hold private workouts with Derek Carr, Teddy Bridgewater and Blake Bortles, per Mary Kay Cabot. If the Browns are looking to take a quarterback with their number 4 selection, they will do their homework on each of the top 4 candidates that are entering the draft.
The Browns will also likely include workouts with a couple of second tier quarterbacks as well, like Jimmy Garoppolo and Aaron Murray.
The Browns are in desperate need to fix their quarterback mess and this seems like the right time to add a quarterback that can last longer than a season as the team’s starter. The team could add a quarterback that can hold down the position for a few seasons…. maybe.
The quarterback situation in Cleveland has been a mess and they are hoping to turn it all around. Manziel, Bridgewater, Bortles or Carr could be the answer that they are looking for. The team will be holding those private workouts to ensure they make the right decision.
