The New Orleans Saints hosted Marqise Lee on a visit today according to Kenny Vaccaro. Vaccaro posted on his twitter account that he ran into Lee at the facility:
Lee would be a nice option for the Saints in the draft and could give the offense another playmaker. The Saints alread have Marques Colston and Kenny Stills at receiver, but Lee could get plenty of playing time on offense lining up in the slot. Colston is getting up their in age and the other receivers on the roster are inexperienced, so it would make sense for the team to move in that direction. Imagine Colston, Stills and Lee on offense with Jimmy Graham snagging passes over the middle… DANGEROUS.
Lee could be available for the Saints with the 27th overall selection. He is a threat when the ball is in his hands and he can help stretch the field. If Lee were to join the Saints, he wouldn’t need to be the top option on the team and could make a killing in the slot. It would be a nice fit for him and he would have a great quarterback throwing him the football.
