This week on the podcast, Ricky Widmer, Dave Oster, and Mark Weber dive into Mel Kiper Jr’s latest mock draft for the 2014 NFL Draft.

The guys start with the possible 1st round slip of Teddy Bridgewater. They debate whether or not Bridewater could slip past the entire first night of the draft much like Geno Smith did in 2013. With that being said, this brings up if any other 1st round quarterbacks could slip past the entire first night of the draft.

On the other hand, there are several “Tier 2″ quarterbacks rising in newer mock drafts. Ricky, Dave, and Mark look at Jimmy Garoppolo and how it might not be a bad decision for the Minnesota Vikings to skip QB in the 1st round to take Garoppolo in the 2nd round.

The guys also look at the New York Jets’ 18th overall pick in Kiper’s 4.0 mock draft. Since the Jets signed Chris Johnson last week, Kiper has New York taking Oregon State’s Brandin Cooks at 18th overall. They guys also discuss the quarterback situation between Geno Smith and Michael Vick.
