The Houston Texans hold the keys to this NFL Draft with that first overall selection. They could use that first overall draft selection as a big time trade piece. Gil Brandt believes that the team could use the selection on South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney and then trade him off to another team. A lot of teams would love to have Clowney on their roster and if the recent report of the Texans GM liking Khalil Mack is true, it would make sense for them to trade down and get the guy that they want.
The Texans can select Jadeveon Clowney with the top selection in the draft and tjem trade him away to a team that takes Mack. A team like the Atlanta Falcons or St. Louis Rams could possibly make that move. The Texans would get the player that they want and they could gather more draft picks that they can package to select the quarterback of their choice. The Texans are sitting pretty and could pick up a ton of nice talent from this deep draft.
The Texans might select Clowney with the first selection in the draft, but he might not be wearing that Houston Texans hat for long.
