Are you ready for some football?
Well, we’re still over four months away, but NFL fans can rejoice in tonight’s unveiling of the 2014 schedule. For the Chicago Bears, they’ll kick off the season at home versus the Buffalo Bills. This is the fifth straight year the Bears will open things up at home, and they’re 4-0 in openers since that streak began.
One thing about Chicago’s schedule that jumps right away is the Thanksgiving Day game versus Detroit. This will be the first time the Bears have played on Thanksgiving since 2004, when they lost 21-7 against the Cowboys, according to Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune.
For Bears fans, two days that always get marked on the calenders are the Bears/Packers games, and those will be held Week 4 at home and Week 10 at Green Bay. After a heartbreaking loss in Week 17 at the hands of their rivals, the Bears will be hungry for revenge in 2014.
The Bears will be in prime time on Week 2 at the 49ers, Week 3 at the Jets, Week 10 at Green Bay, Week 14 hosting Dallas and Week 15 hosting the Saints.
