With the 17th pick in the NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select…
Zack Martin, OT, Notre Dame
Selection made by Erik Lambert, NFL Mocks
Here is the analysis on the selection:
Ozzie Newsome knows full well that the success of his Ravens now run through the right arm of Joe Flacco. With the recent loss of Michael Oher to free agency it has left a hole to fill on the right side of the offensive line. Zack Martin may be the most versatile offensive lineman in the draft. He played left tackle for the Irish, has the footwork and strength to play right tackle but also the size and technique to kick inside to guard. He really can be plugged in anywhere the Ravens need him. Flacco won’t have to worry about pressure from whichever angle Martin is blocking from.
