The Oakland Raiders have the 4th selection on Friday and could use that selection to take Derek Carr. The Houston Texans have the first pick in the round and may want to pass on selecting Carr onto their team with the history of a Carr in that franchise. The Washington Redskins and Cleveland Browns hold the next two selections and don’t need to select a quarterback with their choices.
Carr could fall to them in the 2nd round and could be a perfect fit. The Raiders already have Matt Schaub on the roster, but if Schaub were to falter, they could lean on Carr for the future. Carr could be brought in and be groomed for the next few seasons.
He has a strong arm and is one of the best quarterbacks in the class. He could be a really good addition for the Raiders and could easily push for some playing time on the roster.
Carr is sitting around waiting to get selected and could hear his name when the Oakland Raiders are put on the clock.
