The Kansas City Chiefs and RB Jamaal Charles have agreed to a contract extension according to Chris Mortensen.

According to Bleacher Report, the two sides have agreed to a 2-year extension to keep Charles running that football in a red jersey. The two sides had been negotiating a new deal and with training camp opening up, the threat of Charles missing some time was becoming more of a truth.

Charles is the Chiefs offense. He makes the team roll. Alex Smith keeps things glued with his consistency on offense, but Charles is the guy that can make magic happen on offense. Just get him the ball and watch what he does with it.

Great move by the Kansas City Chiefs to lock in their biggest playmaker for a few more years. The fans in Kansas City will get to enjoy him taking the football a few more seasons and will not have to worry about him hitting the open market. He is one of the best in the game right now… if not the best.
