The Indianapolis Colts have a tough decision to make at the wide receiver spot when the final cuts come through. The top 4 spots on the roster are already locked in with Reggie Wayne, T.Y. Hilton, Hakeem Nicks and Donte Moncrief holding down roster spots. The last roster spot will come down to a couple of youngsters: Da’Rick Rogers and Griff Whalen.

Rogers has a ton of potential, but there are some maturity issues that left him undrafted last season and kept him off of a couple of rosters during the year. The Colts gave him a shot on the practice squad and then eventually allowed him to see the field in game action. He has a great combination of size and athleticism at the position and the potential is high.
Griff Whalen is a reliable option at the position. He doesn’t have the measurables of Rogers, but he still makes the plays.
The Colts don’t have a ton of roster spots available for the position. They could keep 5 spots for the receiver or stretch it out to 6 receiver spots to keep their talent around.
