The New England Patriots make some surprising moves in the offseason and this time around they traded away their Pro Bowl guard to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for TE Tim Wright and a draft pick, per Jay Glazer. The draft pick still has not been announced, but that is a bold move by the Patriots.
Bill Belichick loves to stockpile those draft picks. He just added a new piece to his puzzle and sent over their Pro Bowl guard off. The Buccaneers were looking for some help up front and even brought in Richie Incognito in for a visit yesterday. The team likely will pass on signing Incognito now that they have a Pro Bowl player in the trenches.
How is Tom Brady going to feel about this move? The team gave up some beef up front in order to add a tight end with some speed and a draft pick. Who knows what Tim Wright is going to be on this roster? We all know what Mankins can do.
Bill Belichick bring on another Rutgers player.
