The Arizona Cardinals were hunting around for some help up front on their defensive line. After Darnell Dockett went down with the season ending injury, the team was looking for someone to help out at defensive tackle. They were able to pick up some help in the trenches with the addition of Tommy Kelly today. He has signed to a 1-year deal according to Adam Schefter.

Kelly was part of the cuts from the New England Patriots a few days ago. He had missed a majority of last season due to injuries and was hoping to get back on his feet this season. He will make his return with the Arizona Cardinals and should get plenty of opportunities to play up front.

The Cardinals rely on it’s strong defense in order to win games, hopefully Kelly will be able to contribute in the middle and be a piece to the puzzle for the roster. He has the ability to make it happen. We will see if he has anything left in the tank.
