Football is finally here and will kickoff with the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks hosting the Green Bay Packers. What a great matchup to open the year with.

The Seahawks and their tough defense will get tested by Aaron Rodgers in the first game of the year. The Packers offense is not just on the shoulders of Rodgers anymore either. The Packers have a running game with Eddie Lacy and have the ability to move the ball down the field in a variety of ways. Everyone knows about the Seahawks defense and their ability to shut things down, but this will be an early test.

The Packers will have to deal with that crowd noise and that should give the Seahawks and that defense the advantage they need to win this game.

The Seahawks will be looking to make a statement in the first game of the year. They will be looking to establish their defense against a top-notch offense. If they are able to shut down the Packers offense, then it will make a big statement to the rest of the league.

Russell Wilson will have Percy Harvin on offense to start out the year. Still, the Seahawks will likely be looking to establish the running game with Marshawn Lynch and the other backs on the roster.

Prediction: 

It will be a tough road to travel for the Packers. The fans in Seattle will be losing their minds in the stands and they will be looking to throw off the Packers in any way that they can. The Seattle defense is strong and should keep the Packers in check.

The game will be close, but I believe that Russell Wilson and the offense will do enough to pull off this win. Look for Percy Harvin to make an impact in this game.
