After the video was released by TMZ of Ray Rice and his incident in the elevator with his girlfriend, the team needs to make a stand and completely drop him off of the roster. The Ravens do not need this situation as part of their team for the entire season. They do not need to have him as part of the franchise.

Time could possibly heal the situation, but this situation is too ugly for the team to sit around with him on the roster. He will be able to jump onto the field in a couple of games. Could you imagine the reaction that he will get on the field? He probably will not even get support from the fans in Baltimore.
Some things are above football. The NFL messed up with their suspension handed out to him for only 2 games. The Baltimore Ravens do not have to make the same mistake and keep him on the roster. They should just drop him off of the roster and let someone else deal with that mess.
Who would want to pick him up? I am not sure which team would take that chance.
