Jacksonville Jaguars Storm Johnson, Clay Harbor out another week
The Jacksonville Jaguars might not have Storm Johnson on the active roster on gamedays due to the presences of Denard Robinson and Jordan Todman as more than capable backups behind bellcow Toby Gerhart, but it would still be nice to see the talented UCF product healthy to start the season. After missing Week 1 with an ankle injury, Johnson suffered a setback this week and was never expected to play.

According to Jaguars official site beat writer John Oehser, Johnson and veteran tight end Clay Harbor were not able to make the trip with the rest of the team, so both players have been ruled out for tomorrow’s game against the Washington Redskins. Harbor is a key backup at TE behind Marcedes Lewis, but he also was expected to miss this week’s game after sitting out Week 1 and all of August with a significant calf injury.
Hopefully both players can be healthy for Week 3, and Harbor is the most important player due to the Jaguars lack of depth at tight end, especially in comparison to their depth at running back. Cecil Shorts has made the trip to Washington, but that might just be to keep the Redskins guessing. Shorts is listed doubtful on the injury report after missing Week 1 with a hamstring injury, and there’s very little chance of him suiting up tomorrow.
