1. Green Bay Packers

The NFL season kickoff between the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks was not an overly competitive contest. Sure the Packers dealt with some injuries early in the game, but even without those injuries the Seahawks would have won the game. Green Bay was schematically and physically outplayed in Seattle. But, the Packers have a chance to right the ship this week at home against the Jets. The NFC North is a stacked division and the Packers can’t afford to begin the year 0-2. The lions looked dominant against the Giants and seem to be the Packers’ main competition for a division title.

Aaron Rodgers threw for only 189 yards in week one and Eddie Lacy ran for only 34 yards. Talk about a lack of production. Fortunately for the Packers the Jets do not possess the same caliber of defense as the Seahawks. Lacy is recovering from a week one concussion and appears to be on track to play against the Jets. Geno Smith played really well for the Jets in their week one victory over the Raiders going 23 for 28. It won’t be easy for the Packers to even out their record, but they certainly should get the victory over the Jets. If the Packers don’t, they’ll be staring up at the Lions in the division standings for quite some time.
