Number 17: Minnesota Vikings (1-1)

Head Coach Mike Zimmer claims that losing Adrian Peterson did not have an effect on Sunday’s game. Peterson takes a lot of pressure off of the quarterback and without him there, Cassel threw four interceptions, while essentially depleting their running game. I think it’s safe to say Peterson’s absence had an impact on the game.

Number 18: Detroit Lions (1-1)

Rough week for the Detroit Lions. Just one week after their offensive explosion, the unit was out of sync.

Number 19: Houston Texans (2-0)

I guess you don’t pay a defensive end 100 million dollars to only rush the quarterback, huh? J.J. Watt recorded his first reception for a one yard touchdown. The Texans are 2-0 for the fifth straight season. Texans fan are just hoping they don’t see a repeat of last year.

Number 20: Atlanta Falcons (1-1)

After putting up thirty-seven points against the Saints last week, the Atlanta Falcons offense only produced ten points. Matt Ryan’s three interceptions is a big step back after his phenomenal week one performance.

Number 21:  New York Jets (1-1)

The offense looked decent against Green Bay, but the defense was unable to hold their 21-3 lead. Poor Marty Mornhinweg.

Number 22: Miami Dolphins (1-1)

Well, it looks like the Miami Dolphins offensive line week one performance might have been a fluke. The interior line looked awful, allowing the Bills defense to get to Tannehill four times. On top of their offensive issues, the defense was very shaky. Losing Knowshon Moreno for four weeks is going to hurt the team as well.

Number 23: Dallas Cowboys (1-1)

The Dallas Cowboys played very well against the Titans on Sunday. Romo was able to stay out of the interception column, while DeMarco Murray showed he is an elite talent when healthy. The biggest story though was the defense. I can’t remember the last time Dallas held anyone to ten points.

Number 24: Cleveland Browns (1-1)

Defeating the Saints in their home opener was big for the Cleveland Browns. The only thing I would like to see is a little more balance offensively. That should change once Ben Tate comes back from injury.
