Bernard Pierce has five-percent chance of playing
The Baltimore Ravens have listed starting running back Bernard Pierce as questionable for today’s rivalry game against the Cleveland Browns, and there is “serious doubt” regarding his ability to suit up today. When the Ravens added former Michigan RB Fitzgerald Toussaint a couple of days ago, the first warning sign regarding Pierce’s availability arose, and now it looks like fantasy football owners need to remove Pierce from their lineups and replace him with Ravens No. 2 back Justin Forsett or somebody else.

Per a “team source” close to the NFL Network’s Aditi Kinkhabwala has a 95% chance of being inactive today against the Browns, which is an oddly specific estimate. But it’s proximity to 100% indicates that there is just about no chance Pierce plays today against the Browns, so fantasy owners can safely remove him from their lineups at this point.
When Pierce was benched for a fumble in Week 1, Forsett came right in as the change-of-pace back and immediately looked good. While Pierce is still locked in as the starter, Forsett brings some nice value to the table, so fantasy owners of Pierce or injured Houston Texans RB Arian Foster could use Forsett as a plug-n-play option this week.
Pierce is currently dealing with a thigh injury that he suffered during the week of practice, as he was downgraded from full to limited on Thursday, with this injury appearing to be significantly more severe than initially thought.
